What?

Stop.

Your joking.

Really?

Yep. It's real. Apple recently revealed its new Mac Pro And Pro Display XDR at this year's WWDC, and boy are people loving it. With it's "Absolutely Stunning" design, this powerhouse stuffed inside a cheese grate retails for a starting price of $5,999.

Now.

Before I start ranting about another one of Apple's screw-ups, I want to take a brief moment to talk about what it does right. Your welcome. The Mac Pro has a massive variety of customizable specifications. One of the major ones that I what to touch on is storage. You can buy the Mac Pro with storage ranging from 32 GB to 1.5 TB, that's pretty amazing. And as much as I don't want to defend it, the cheese grate exterior actually helps the Mac cool down insanely fast, and overheating would be almost impossible.

But.

This price is stupid. It's the sore thumb of Apple's device lineup. The absolute opposite of Piece De Resistance. I get it. This is targeted at a certain market, but rolling up on stage and acting like this is okay just makes everyone at Apple look like assholes. And nobody wants to be an asshole.

Technology reviewers were expecting a substantial price tag, and saved up for this particular item, but when the device dropped and the specs were released, everyone put away their wallets, because they got the memo.

But Apple didn't stop there. No. How could they? Next they unveil the Mac Pro's enticing companion, the Pro Display XDR. Damn. It's a beauty. The tech that Apple was able to achieve with this device is spectacular. Everyone was drooling, until that white text appeared on screen, its always that damn white text. "Starting at $4,999".

I'm stunned.

Good job Apple, you just successfully made everyone at WWDC cringe all at once, that has to be a world record.

So, the takeaway. Apple wants your money, but we already knew that. And I'll bring it back up again, I get it, this is aimed at movie producers or graphic designers who get paid thousands a week, but Steve Job's vision for Apple was quality for the average consumer, AVERAGE CONSUMER.

And if you still want the maxed out 2019 Mac Pro with the Pro Display XDR, than go at it, but get ready for the checkout page at Apple.com to say: Your Total is: $40,000
